Questions about goods marking
The marking system is intended to guarantee quality and authenticity of the goods on sale.
The marking system is owned and managed by Republican Unitary Enterprise “Belblankavyd Publishing house” which is subordinate to the Department of the State Signs of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus.
The authorised (regulatory) body for the goods marking matters in the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Republic of Belarus.
The app shall feature counterfeit product reporting. The report shall be transferred to a supervisory body relevant to the fault nature. The body, in its turn, shall investigate the report and inspect the vendor in fault. Thousands of mobile inspections shall be carried out in Belarus every minute, and public supervision shall make the market truly transparent.
Once the marking is introduced, the goods by lawful manufacturers shall become cheaper with time.
The customer shall not bear the costs of marking equipment – those shall be borne by businesses. And marking benefit shall cover the expenses. The system shall provide the manufacturer with clear sales data and supply chain performance data, which data enables business process optimisation and cost reduction.
Even in the worst case the introduction of marking may reduce product process by 10% through fake product ratio minimisation and other positive effects.
There is a free mobile app for iOS and Android (available in AppGallery and Google Play) intended to verify marking labels.
Besides, a label or a unified control mark can be verified on the website online.
Belblankavyd issues a unique numerical marking code or cells to manufacturers and importers that apply them to every product package.
